About Me

Life Verse: "Brothers and sisters, now we encourage you to love them [other Christians] even more. Do all you can to live a peaceful life. Take care of your own business, and do your own work as we have already told you. If you do, then people who are not believers will respect you, and you will not have to depend on others for what you need."
~I Thessalonians 4:10-12

I am a full time college student who likes to read and write and other such nonsense. I also work in a dining hall on campus to help pay for books and other such necessities. I am a relatively solitary person. I like my alone time. I am dependable and trustworthy, a hard worker, and if I say I will do something, it will most likely be done.

Relationships/Roles: daughter, sister, friend, mentor, "aunt," child of God, student, roommate, neighbor

Personality traits: helpful, intelligent, introverted, funny, loner, insecure, paranoid, "clingy," emotional, perfectionist, people-pleaser, procrastinator, sincere, honest

Issues I am passionate about: censorship, people who preach tolerance but aren't tolerant of Christianity, abuse in any form, etc

I am daily learning who I am and how I relate to people. I am not perfect but I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. (Some would say I'm crazy or weird… I'm ok with that.) Miss Esther Sampson is my hero. If I end up being half as amazing as she is, I will have done well.

Interests: photography, photoshop, writing, reading, English, poetry, making people laugh, chocolate, making random movies, being distracted by the internet, smelling books, etc

Favorite Books: Suffice it to say, I have read a lot of books and I like a lot of books. The Bible is probably one of the top ones since I try to read it on a regular basis. I am in love with anything by C.S. Lewis. I read poetry and especially like Emily Dickinson. I also like short stories like those of Edgar Allan Poe and Guy de Maupassant. Unfortunately, time for leisure reading is scarce so I have to sacrifice homework for pleasure reading.
